Review:

This was certainly an interesting final installment. The overall feeling I’ve had throughout this whole series has been frustration. I’m frustrated with the plot, I’m frustrated with the pace and I’m frustrated with having to push through this read. Clearly though, I’m invested. I care where this goes, the author has made me care. But at what cost? 

I think I was just hoping for a more direct approach. This isn’t a war, it’s one battle and so much filler seems to be between us and the end. Weird side missions that I guess affect the end, but it’s all last minute things that had no prior set up. I kept having the same thought over and over, “okay when are we getting to the good stuff??”

I cannot deny however, the death of Ansel and the grief and mourning behind his death really hit me hard. The scene with Lou at the healing waters? Bawling my eyes out. The EPILOGUE???? Balled my eyes out.

So I guess as frustrating as it all was it did make me feel something and care. I’m torn I think with this whole series. Please let me know your own thoughts and feels down below in the comments and help me make sense of this series!
