Happy Halloween! Hope everyone is having a splendid (but safe) holiday! Since I loved Throne of Glass so much, not only do I have a tattoo to commemorate it, but I thought this would be the perfect time to start the newest book from our dear Sarah. So without further ado, let's get started!

Review:
Ah Sarah, she never disappoints me. Mademoiselle Maas herself came to play with this adult fantasy and I absolutely adored it. She smashed modern day living with every fantastical creature you can think of. Of course we had the Fae, but we also had werewolves, vampires, angels, fairies, witches, demons and a million other creatures I can’t even begin to get into. And not only that but there’s a murder to solve????? SIGN ME TF UP!!!!!

Bryce is hired by an Archangel (who are basically the rulers/mayors of this world) to find out who or what is killing people. Bryce has an emotional investment in finding the killer so of course she accepts. But she can’t begin without someone to tag along, the fallen angel Hunt. 

My favorite part I’d have to say is obviously the climax because that was everything I could ever want and also the use of a vaccuum cleaner was peak comedy. My favorite character was probably a tie between Ruhn and Lehabah, they just have a special place in my heart. And two characters we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with, but who my I’m definitely interested in are Hypaxia and Aidas. I just have a good feeling about them and I want more!

There were a lot of surprises for me in this one, I was really impressed by the turns this story took. So much happened in the course of these 900 pages and I was deeply impressed. And of course it wouldn’t be Sarah if the promise of making this a series wasn’t on the horizon!! So I’m so happy with this read, I highly recommend this to the 18+ readers who want to OD on fantasy and a murder mystery!
