Review:
How can a book make me this angry? Because it reaches the pinnacle, where everything is supposed to be answered or contently unanswered. But no! The author just had to leave the biggest cliffhanger of all. The pieces of the mystery still remained scattered about like a broken window pane. At first, I thought I had the story pegged. I thought I knew how it was going to end, but as the chapters bled on, my mind was running in circles guessing who the killer was every which way. And I sympathized with Cass because both men deserved her love, but it was unclear which deserved it more. My heart rang out to her, despite my siding with one of them. I wanted to see who she chose and I thought I would be answered in the last chapter, but ALAS!!! On the one hand, good form to Fiona Paul, for making me so genuinely invested in these characters. But on the other hand, WHY DO YOU TORMENT ME SO?! Nonetheless Venom was a great read. Overall, it was confusing, and a tad scandalous, but all the more tantalizing.

The revenge you wish you got on the person who double-crossed you is finally let loose in one of the best and most inventive ways, and the ending left me jaw-dropped.
