Review:
This read was so much more interesting than I had anticipated. This was an Irish horror story with monsters and witches and more herbs than a horticulturist would know what to do with. Two twins in a town even more creepy than ever thought possible, and sacrifices so gruesome, no one would have ever agreed to come.
This was a good slow burn. It crept. It was spooky and melancholic and macabre, it will 100% give you goosebumps. If you thought you knew the story, be prepared to second guess everything. Every twist and turn will keep you up at night, and I loved every minute of it.
AND WE LOVE LGBT+ REPRESENTATION!!! Ugh I’m so excited every time I come across it when I wasn’t expecting it. I think it was maybe the first or second chapter in I thought, “oh yep, gay.”
Highly recommend and I cannot wait to read the sequel, I’m hoping we get to fast forward into the future with these girls as adults, but who knows what will happen next!
