"Every morning, ‘A’ wakes in a different person's body, a different person's life. There's never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.
It's all fine until the morning that ‘A’ wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin's girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with - day in, day out, day after day."
Review:
It took me over EIGHT years to read this but I finally did it!
This was so much better than I expected. I was so intrigued by how A was living and coping with their, I guess, condition. Rhiannon was understandably frustrated, but at the same time she irritated me. ‘A’ deserved more than just a "kind" girl. I loved that we saw ‘A’ as different genders, races, and sexual orientations. I especially enjoyed when A was the transgender boy with a girlfriend and getting to draw comparisons to their relationship with Rhiannon. I go back and forth on whether or not I liked the ending. You can say it ends how you expect, but you could also argue it ends unresolved or on a cliffhanger, so I'm honestly not sure how to feel. However the story was so compelling, truly. It begs the question of what IS a soul. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this story and I definitely recommend it.
