Until I Die by Amy Plum (Review #19)

SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS BOOK 2 IN THE REVENANTS SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS FAR STOP NOW AND CHECK OUT MY REVIEW OF DIE FOR ME!

"I wish there was only today, just right now, and no forever.
It seems fitting that I fell in love in Paris. Peel back a thin layer of reality and under the city's glamorous surface is a battleground for immortal enemies.
Because with Vincent, reality is an illusion. Handsome, chivalrous, and witty, he's got everything I've ever wanted in a boyfriend... except mortality. But when I chose Vincent, I chose love over reason and safety.
Vincent swore to avoid death - to resist his very nature so we can be together. But I refuse to stand by and watch him suffer.
I know I'll do whatever it takes - even if it means lying to the people I love - to fight against a fate that is trying to tear us apart."

Review:
This sequel did not disappoint. Like all sequels, they are never as good as the first. However, that doesn't mean this book wasn't good. IT WAS. I loved it and I love how Kate begins to develop a heroine-like role. Finally the ending was a huge surprise; it is what separated this book from your typical love story. I definitely recommend you continue reading this series. Now I must anxiously await the third book in the riveting tale of Vincent and Kate.

Burn for Burn by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian (Review #29)

"Lillia has never had any problems dealing with boys who like her. Not until this summer, when one went too far. No way will she let the same thing happen to her little sister. Kate is tired of the rumors, the insults, the cruel jokes. It all goes back to one person - her ex-best friend - and she's ready to make her pay. Four years ago, Mary left Jar Island because of a boy. But she's not the same girl anymore. And she's ready to prove it to him. Three very different girls who want the same thing: sweet, sweet revenge. And they won't stop until they've each had a taste." Review: This book was FAN-TAS-TIC!! I am not for the petty popular girl books, and this is definitely not one of those books. The revenge you wish you got on the person who double-crossed you is finally let loose in one of the best and most inventive ways, and the ending left me jaw-dropped. This is a book everyone should have on their shelf.
