I was a Sarah Dessen - virgin. This was my first time reading her work and it was inexhaustibly fantastic. I couldn't put it down. literally I stayed up all night reading this novel, maybe just how Dessen wanted me to. that is why I'm writing this at such an ungodly hour. What first intrigued me was that my own personal family dilemmas did not correspond with Auden's (whose name I adore, by the way), but, all the same, the author detailed Auden's feeling and turmoil so beautifully, so well, that throughout the entire novel I was frantically worrying about her relationships with her mother, father and stepmother. The most important of all, however, was, of course, Eli. Never had I seen a more unusual, but all the more spectacular, love story than Auden and Eli. It was absolutely astonishing to see a girl who has taken care of others literally her entire life "blossom", just as Horris put it, into, not a woman, but a child. This book was worth sleep deprivation. I encourage you to give up one nights sleep for an unforgettable quest. Because everyone respects a quest.
